About Us

The
basic Army Cadet program is important to the corps; 1292 won the Army Cadet
Challenge-Alberta 2011 with an outstanding performance at CFB Edmonton.
We had a higher "pass" percentage in our senior Cadets in their
National Star Level Exams than any other Corps in Alberta. One of our cadets
was selected to go to Wales for the summer of 2013 with the British Cadet
Force, and in June of 2013 we were recognized as the "Top Army Cadet Corps
in Southern Alberta".
1292
also has a strong and well supported shooting program. Our shooting instructor,
Ocdt Badminton has completed 2 years of Bisley and has been invited back as
coach in Connaught. Our shooting team won top team in our region in 2012, and
went on to nationals.
We
are well supported by the Regiment and also receive strong support from the
King's Own Calgary Regiment, a Primary Reserve Regiment in Calgary.
